Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
Chai Wallahs Events Ltd ("Chai Wallahs", "we", "us") runs this website. We take your privacy seriously and only collect what we need. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
- Mailing list signups: your first and last name, email address and city.
- Contact form messages: your name, email address and whatever you choose to tell us.
- Basic site usage: our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) to keep the site running and secure.
How we use it
- To reply to your messages and enquiries.
- If you tick the subscribe box, to send you news about Chai Wallahs and Grassroots Rising CIC: new dates, line-ups, merch and the grassroots projects we back. We use your city to tell you about events near you.
We only email you if you've chosen to subscribe (your consent), and we reply to messages because you've asked us to (our legitimate interest in answering you). We never sell your details.
Who we share it with
Your details may be shared with Grassroots Rising CIC, our partner in the mailing list, and stored by the services that run our email and website. These services only process your data on our behalf. We don't share it with anyone else unless the law requires us to.
How long we keep it
We keep your mailing list details until you unsubscribe, and messages for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or object to how we use it. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any of our emails. To make any request, emailinfo@chaiwallahs.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office atico.org.uk.
Cookies
This site doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. If that ever changes, we'll update this page and ask for your consent first.
